Spectacularly situated at the head of a 60-mile-long fjord, Oslo is Norway's biggest city yet it's easy to navigate with its compact historic core and great public transportation. Karl Johans Gate, the city's people-friendly main drag stretches from the train station to Royal Palace. Nearby, the harborfront hums with international shipping and a thriving cruise industry. In Oslo, Norway, here are some experience on what I faced when I came to Oslo,Norway and knowing the Cost of living back then in Norway as a tourist was sure shocking. However, Norwegians living in Norway would not have any problems as such living in Norway is affordable based on their working income. In Oslo, Sorry, this video might not professional enough with demographic or proper statistics instead just me Rambling about the items, travel costs, rent costs etc. Norway, the cost would be much higher for accomodation depending on your living area. My video about the Cost of living in Norway is based on the good of living necessities in Oslo, Norway. Since this video about Cost of Living in Norway is a bit outdated as 4 years have passed, I will be UPDATING SOON a proper one, Cost of liv...
This is a video where i give you examples of prices on food in a genreal grocery store in Norway. Milk, bread, eggs, frozen pizza, soda, juice, are just some of the things i mention. There will be made a video on coffee shops and restaurants as well. Hey all Norwegian learners! The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an east dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this. I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and son. --------------------------------------- I started filming with my webcam. Then i moved on to a Flip, then a Flip Mino HD. Then followed my iPhone, and Now I have a Panasonic HC-V210 :) I edit with Vegas Pro. --------------------------------------- ...

living away from home and creating a new home in a complete strange place and to start from the scratch can be both exciting as well as nerve wrecking experience....i am Elisha from Nepal and I am currently pursuing my masters degree from University of Oslo, Norway. This digital photo story telling depicts my personal experiences that I have gained by living in Oslo for the past 7 months.
Welcome to Oslo, the capital city of Norway. Centuries ago, Viking longships prowled the waters around Norway. Some of those longships survived the ensuing years and found their way to the Viking Ship Museum, which is a must-see on any Oslo tour. The three longships on display here have been recovered from various parts of the country, and the museum also contains a number of artifacts from the Viking Age. Norway’s rich connection to the sea did not stop with the Vikings, though; just over a mile away from the Viking Ship Museum are several other educational complexes dedicated to the salt water that flows through Oslo’s veins. Visit the Norwegian Maritime Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, and the Fram Museum to get a fuller idea of Oslo’s seaborne heritage. While in town, stop by the Nobel...
Top Sightseeing locations to visit in Oslo, Norway. Including Downtown Oslo, The Royal Castle, museums, Vigelandsparken, Holmenkollen, and more. The exact locations are listed at the end of the description. The Oslo Opera: Do this one! The opera building is adjacent to the central station, and it's awesome. It's architecture is like walking on an iceberg, and it overlooks the Oslo fjord and Akershus Castle. Doesn't take much time. Karl Johans gate: The main walking street that connects Central Station (Oslo S) with the Royal Castle. I guess it's a must when you come to Oslo. You can't avoid it, and you shouldn't! Because it's the main street of Oslo. But Karl Johan is mostly for the tourists, beggars, scammers. People that live in Oslo, like me, hardly ever go there. Royal Castle:...

Travel video about destination Oslo in Norway. Although the Norwegian metropolis of Oslo is a modern city, it continues to be inspired by the lively spirit of its past traders, fighting men and seafarers. The unique capital city of the Vikings is full of both culture and sport, including a royal castle, various museums, ancient churches and world famous sporting events. It has 900 years of history. The conference rooms of the city's government are decorated with frescos and paintings by Munch, Krogh, Revold and Rolfsen and each year on the 10th of December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place. West of the harbor basin is Aker Brygge, a city quarter that was created on the site of a former shipyard and which features some unusual architectur...

Karl Johans gate is the main walking street of Oslo. It stretches from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) on one side, to the Royal Palace (Slottet) on the other. Btw. "Karl Johans gate" literally means "Karl Johan's Street". The Visit Oslo tourist information office is located at the east side of Oslo Central Station. On the place outside of the station (Jernbanetorget) there is a clock tower called Trafikanten, which houses the Public Transportation Information office. The lower parts of Karl Johan, and especially the first intersecting street, Skippergata, is infamous for junkies and street prostitution. The second intersection street is Dronningens gate (The Queen's street). Here there is a small shopping center Arkaden. Also in Dronningens gate is Kirkeristen, which houses a few cafes ...
